Updating Your Jungle Disk Software Version


This guide will walk you through the process to automatically update your version of Jungle Disk, and the process for uninstalling/reinstalling the application.


 

What type of operating system do you use?

 

 

The most recent version of Jungle Disk requires Windows 7 or Later.


Step one:

Open the Jungle Disk software.

Step two:

Click the "Help" menu and select "About." If you are using any version earlier than 3.16, you must continue the steps in this guide.



Step three:

Close out of Jungle Disk and open the computer's control panel.

Click "Uninstall a Program" or "Programs and Features"

Step four:

Find "Jungle Disk..." in the list of programs presented. Right-click the name of the program and click "uninstall."

The uninstallation will run, and you will be prompted to reboot the computer. Do not reboot your computer, click "No."

Click NO

Step five:

To download the 3.16 version of your Jungle Disk software, visit jungledisk.com/downloads  and click the appropriate version to download and save the file. 


Step Six:

Navigate to the location where you saved the installer program.

Open the installer program that was downloaded and click "Run."


Click "next," and complete the installation process. You will be promoted to reboot the computer, Click "no" to ignore the reboot request; this should not be necessary.



Open Jungle Disk the same way you did in step one. Click the "Help" menu and select "About." You should now be running version 3.16.

You can now resume using Jungle Disk normally.



If these steps do not successfully update your version of Jungle Disk, or you receive an error in the update process:

  1. Reboot the computer
  2. If a reboot does not resolve the issue, please contact Jungle Disk support.

 

The most recent version of Jungle Disk requires OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or Later.


Step one:

Open the Jungle Disk software.



Step two:

Click the "Help" menu and select "Check for updates."



Step three:

Click "Install Update."



Step four:

The new version will download and prompt you to "Install and Relaunch." Click that button to complete the update process.


The installation will run...



Step five:

You will be prompted to update the "Background Program" for Jungle Disk. Click "Yes."


You will then be prompted for your computer's username and password. Enter the information and click "OK."


If the installation was successful, you will see a pop-up box like the one below. Click "OK."

You can now resume using Jungle Disk normally.



If this doesn't work or gives you an error:

  1. Reboot the computer
  2. If a reboot does not resolve the issue, please contact Jungle Disk support.

 

The most recent version of Jungle Disk (3.16) will run on most major Linux distributions. However, there are some dependencies that may need to be adjusted in newer versions of some distributions. See the links below for guides on how to make these adjustments:

To update the version of Jungle Disk running on your Linux machine, completely remove the current version running, then download and install the appropriate package from the list below.

  1. Reboot the computer
