Jungle Disk currently uses the Amazon Payments platform as our billing system for the products and services that we offer. In an effort to simplify and streamline the purchase and billing process, we will be transitioning to a new system effective 4/8/2010.
The new billing system, managed by Chase Payments, will allow our customers to conveniently manage their billing and payment settings directly within the Jungle Disk account management area.
When will the new payment system be in place?
The new billing system goes into effect 4/8/2010.
Will I be required to use the new billing system or can I still pay my invoices via Amazon Payments?
Existing customers that currently use Amazon Payments and choose to keep paying their existing invoices via that platform will be permitted to do so for the foreseeable future. If at any time we decide to discontinue use of Amazon Payments, our customers will be given ample notification prior to discontinuing that option. Please note, if you purchase a new/additional product or service, you would be required to use the new payment system at that time.
If I am currently using Amazon Payments and want to convert over to the new system, how do I do that?
Under the Account & Billing section for your account, you will be able to simply add your credit card details under your account profile. After doing so, all future invoices will be paid using the credit card configured under your account.
Are the prices for the Jungle Disk products changing as a result of this new billing system?
Absolutely not! The new billing system will not affect prices for any of the Jungle Disk products or services.
Why are you moving to a new billing system?
At one time, the Amazon Payments platform was convenient for both Jungle Disk and our customers. At this point, we're seeing two major challenges for our customers that has pushed us towards implementing a new payment system. First, the Amazon Payments platform often creates confusion for our customers who are unsure as to why they are being directed to an Amazon website. Second, and most importantly, for customers that do not have an existing Amazon Payments account, creating a separate and new account strictly for the purpose of payment adds unnecessary steps and complexity to the process. Leveraging the Chase Payments platform allows us to integrate the payment and billing process seamlessly and securely into the Jungle Disk website and administration console.
Is the new payment system secure?
We're partnering with Chase Payments to ensure our customers have an extremely safe secure experience. It is important to note that Jungle Disk does not store any of your credit card details on our servers and your sensitive credit card data is managed by the experts at Chase Payments.
